When I took class with him, this man was supposedly teaching math and bio-statistics. One would think that someone who teaches bio-statistics would have a firm grasp of science and the scientific process, right? Well he's also a climate change denier. How am I supposed to trust this guy with anything that has to do with statistics if he's happy to throw out so much work that's been done to demonstrate how we're affecting the climate? This man is unhinged. He couldn't explain any concepts worth a damn, didn't properly prepare you for the content that he was testing on, and to top it all off he was a smug jerk that preferred to try and catch a student in silly gotcha situation than using any kind of reasonable didactic techniques. I've continued to have a successful career in science/academia and can say without a sliver of doubt, that he has been the single worst excuse for an educator that I have ever had the displeasure of encountering in my entire life. He’s one of the most difficult professors I’ve ever had the displeasure to take. I took Calculus 3 with him and you need higher mathematical knowledge to understand what’s happening (because he mixes Calculus with other classes such as Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, etc. Instead of just giving you a normal calc 3 class). His tests are fucking unbearable (very theory-centered. Again, not just theory from Calculus) and he gives you TWO HOURS TO ANSWER 12 QUESTIONS (EVERY EXERCISE WORSE THAN THE LAST). I thought I could take this class (because I had good mathematical background) BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH. IT'S NEVER ENOUGH FOR THIS MAN. THIS MAN COULD TAKE THE SIMPLEST CONTENT IN THE WORLD AND MAKE IT INCREDIBLY HARD. Now, to Roberto Tirado, you can choke on a veiny, twenty-inch cock motherfucker. No es nada estructurado ni organizado. Asume que sabes de que esta hablando la mayoria de las veces y lo que da en clase es un sketch del tema. Debes luego de cada clase sentarte y organizar tus notas para poder seguirle el paso a su sistema de enseñanza. Aparte de eso es brillante y buena persona. Es exelente mentor pero no profesor. Da muchos papeles y saca los ejercicios de los examenes de ahi.

[ Solo se lo recomiendo a estudiantes que su interes son las matematicas. ] Nadie aprecia a Pennance porque es "dificil, no sabe explicar y habla en ingles". El es un genio, el hace lo que ningun profesor de Matematicas hace y es explicar el origen y dar demostraciones teoricas. Todos los profesores con quien yo he cogido Matematicas solo te hacen embotellar el procedimiento. Ninguno explica de donde surge el procedimiento como Pennace hace. Mayoria de los estudiantes que cogen clases conmigo solo quieren pasar la clase y ya. Ninguno le importa si aprenden. El es un verdadero genio y nadie aprecia su labor como profesor. Le tienes que dedicar tiempo a su clase y leer de su pagina web. Acerca de su personalidad pues es arrogante pero el tiene buenas intenciones hacia los estudiantes (hacerlos genios). Si quieres hablar de algun tema fuera de las matematicas como Huelga, situacion de PR, educacion en la UPR, etc... pues es mejor que te calles la boca. No interrumpas su clase y no seas… leer más

Tiene una bonita personalidad pero también tiene la habilidad de complicar la clase más sencilla. Hizo de mi curso de ecuaciones diferenciales un calvario. Se enfoca en discutir (no muy bien) teoría en la clase y en los exámenes cubre teoría y ejercicios mecánicos. A veces se muestra perdido en la discusión y aunque sólo asista un estudiante da la clase. NO LO RECOMIENDO.
