I took CIIC3015 with him and his class is one of the hardest I have ever taken. The course itself is designed like a filter class and I'll explain why. For starters, you need to pass all of the laboratories with a minimum of 50% grade on each one, the same applies to the four group coding projects you'll take throughout the semester. If you score anything lower than 50%, you have to get bonus points from the same kind of activity to get rid of the deficit and if you don't recover the deficit, you fail the class. The next thing would be how they grade their exams and laboratories, there are 3 partial exams worth 35% of the total grade, one final exam worth 20% and laboratories which are 20%. They grade these three things using an automated tester on Moodle that tests your code with omitted parameters, and you have to pass ALL of them to get any credit. For example, if I write code for an exercise and pass 4/5 of their automated tester's parameters, then I get a 0% on the exercise. Gran… leer más

For example, if I write code for an exercise and pass 4/5 of their automated tester's parameters, then I get a 0% on the exercise. Granted, they let you code in all of these activities with a code editor which makes the task a little easier, but what is the point of having an editor if I have to write perfect code to get any of the points? One last thing I want to mention is how boring and draining the class is in person, he always presents material in this depressing tone and never really seems enthusiastic about the material and adding to that he sometimes skips basic concepts one needs to understand before jumping headfirst into the next topic. To sum it up, you need more than 50% on each weekly laboratory as well as every monthly project, you need to write perfect code to get any points for any of the exercises in tests and laboratories, and not only will you not learn anything by going to his class but you will be miserable if you do. Keep in mind that this is supposed to be an INTRODUCTORY class for Python. The only good thing I can say about this professor is that he is responsible with the class and he has vast amounts of knowledge in the material. For those that know how to code already, you will likely perform well in this course even if you take it with this professor. Now, for those who are starting to learn how to code while also taking rigorous classes such as physics, engineering, mathematics, chemistry, biology, etc., be wary of taking this course with this professor, for it will cost you a lot of more time and effort than you'll be led to believe. leer menos

No te confies, estudia, estudia, ESTUDIA.

Botellas aqui no existen. Los proyectos as soon as you are given the specs PONTE A HACERLO.
