We had our Math class and I am a foreign student who cannot understand Spanish, whenever I asked question he answered me in English so that I can understand the concept and will not be left behind in the discussion. That is just one of the things he does for his students. For he only thinks and does what's the best for us. That is the reason why he is strict yet, we can ask questions, gives a lot of exercises so that we can practice problems to pass the exam, and has a difficult exams so that we will not settle on the things we already knew for he wants his students to learn the depths of the course. That is Dr. Vélez whom I recommend for all the students who needs Math courses, aside from his depth knowledge on what He taught, he also taught me to challenge myself so that I will become a competent individual.
